[unable to retrieve full-text content]ContributorNetwork - Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney announced his economic plan in Detroit Friday. A major component of that plan is "less government." The full text of Romney's speech to the Detroit Economic Club reveals some of his intended targets: national health care, Amtrak subsidies, Planned Parenthood funding, Davis-Bacon Act (1931 law requiring public works project employees to receive competitive wages) repeal, shifting control of entitlements programs to states and enacting growth caps, shrinking the federal workforce by 10 percent, and linking public sector pay and benefits to the prevailing rates in the private sector.
